Starting a new chapter

First week of 2013 isn’t so lovely, having to stay at home with my brother alone was really tedious, good thing is that I have heaps of personal time with God and myself. I was able to chew over a lot of things… the memories of the past, the events at the present and what will come to pass in the near future and I really miss doing this because I haven’t done this for so long. It is truly blissful having personal time especially with God.
o’yeah! It’s been a week since new year has started and today is the first Sunday of 2013. Yesterday, as I was writing on my journal my prayers for this year 2013 as too well I was able to reminisce the happenings in the past years. I suddenly miss my “navfriends” way back in Iloilo, I miss our bonding moments, the games, road trips and food trips and most especially I  miss  studying the word of God with them. So, I decided to text my long time friend Janice and I invited her to attend with me the Sunday service of Life Church at Robinson’s Place. We agreed to meet there before nine but we got there late due to some transportation problems:):):) good thing is that the service actually starts at 10am…………… basically, we’re not late, actually we’re just in time. The speaker was so great. He’s amazing and soo cool with his simple jokes as he delivers to us the word of God. The topic was about apostle Paul’s Pattern for successful living, a perfect topic for the situation because it’s new year and I’m definitely thankful, because as I was listening to the message I was kind of reminded by God of my values and His standards.

I do Pray

Heavenly Father, truly You are the living God and worthy to be praised. How marvelous is Your presence in my life. I want to thank you Lord for the wonderful memories of 2012…… And as the new year starts I pray for more great and wonderful moments with You. Lord, I pray that You would continue to bless me and my loved ones. Bless us oh Lord so we can be a blessing to others.

hello 2013!

First day of the year and my first blog entry for the year 2013. Last night was really cool, me and my brother alone celebrating the new year. Having to spend new year that way wasn’t actually unpleasant. In fact it was fun because of the noise coming outside and the sky was glowing with different colors from the fireworks display courtesy of some neighbors. Also we have lots of food on our table more than enough for the two of us. –>foodtrip indeed!
I choose to welcome 2013 with a not so wacky pose!
So okay, Happy new year and Welcome 2013, a new chapter that is waiting to be written. I wish this year will be fabulous with great and meaningful experiences.  for me, New year is like a fresh start, and I have so much in mind to do this year first in the list is to have a vacation in Hongkong because I really wanted to have a glimpse and of course to experience the famous Disneyland.  I also have a lot of plans for myself like ‘self change’ but I’m not into making new years resolution for I believe that everyday is a chance for me to change to be a better person and new year is not the only time for me in making resolutions. I would just hope and pray that God will bless me and my loved ones more this year.

Thank you Lord for 2012

Thank you Lord for 2012, a great and wondrous journey with you. Thank you for the good experiences as well as the bad ones, by experiencing the bad helps me appreciate the good. Thank you for my family who’s always there for me through ups and downs. Thank you for the true friends who never leave my side through good times and the bad. Thank you for the good health and for keeping me and my loved ones safe throughout the year. Thank you for watching over and protecting our family’s livelihood, for the good harvest. Thank you for all the blessing you showered to my family for us to enjoy.

Thank you also for the Philippines, my country. Thank you for the freedom we have.  Thank you for the beautiful nation and for natural resources, I know by just looking around I can see that we have enough. Thank you for those people who always seek to preserve our nature. In the midst of our country’s struggles and chaos, thank you Lord that we have these hardworking and honorable leaders who never stop discovering great solutions for each problem our country’s facing.

Thank you so much Lord for 2012… til next year and the succeeding years!
